Buyers Products SaltDogg Hydraulic Carbon Steel Under Tailgate Spreader gives contractors and municipalities an under tailgate spreader that can handle spreading bulk salt and salt/sand mixes. It works with 96 in. wide dump bodies.
SaltDogg tailgate spreaders are built to last. Made of durable orange powder-coated carbon steel, it features an anti-flow plate and 1/4 in. endplates. An extended end plate model is also available. A three-point hinged bottom cover allows easy access to the entire auger assembly and hassle-free cleaning. The spreader is equipped with a 6 in. auger with 3/8 in. flighting and comes with an auger screen and a hydraulic safety lockout system.
This spreader gets the job done. It runs a direct-coupled hydraulic drive system for both the auger and the spinner that uses low speed, high-torque orbital motors.The 18 in. poly spinner can cast material up to 40 ft. The spreader is available with center or left discharge.
Buyers Products offers additional options that can make the spreader suit your needs, including hard-face flighting and stainless steel spill shields.

Hydraulic spreader controls are sold separately. A variety of options are available, including manual hydraulic, manual with load sensing, and electric over hydraulic, available with or without GPS.
